OUR MISSION
Mission of the Nassau County Auxiliary Police
It is the duty of the Nassau County Auxiliary Police to assist the Police Department to protect life and property, deter crime, and preserve the public peace.
This program helps develop a better understanding between the police and the people they serve. It promotes public cooperation that leads to greater police effectiveness.
Auxiliaries are "eyes and ears" for the Nassau County Police Department
We are volunteers from this community
We have over 100 hours of training at the NCPD Police Academy
We are in constant communications with NCPD Headquarters
Day and Evening Patrols are done in marked vehicles on a daily basis
We provide traffic direction, crowd control and assist security at community fairs, parades and special events
We serve as a reserve for the NCPD during community emergencies
The Fourth Precinct Auxiliary is based out of the Fourth Precinct and covers Atlantic Beach, Atlantic Beach Estates, East Atlantic Beach, Meadowmere, Lawrence, North Lawrence, Inwood, Woodmere, North Woodmere, Hewlett, Hewlett Neck, Hewlett Bay Park, Hewlett Harbor, Woodsburgh, Oceanside, Lido Beach, Point Lookout and Island Park
